About Metro Sound
Metro Sound started with a simple practice problem: following along with lesson-book recordings while keeping a steady tempo, with the printed exercise in view and an instrument in tune. Most tools did one of those things. Metro Sound does them together.
What it does
You import practice tracks from your own device and organize them by book and exercise. An independent metronome runs over the playing track with its own volume and mute, so the click or the music can lead. You can attach photos of the printed sheet to each track, and a built-in tuner listens through the microphone to help you tune up before you play.
Your library lives on your device. If you choose, it can sync to your own cloud so your practice setup follows you.
Our approach
We make fewer apps and try to make them properly: native, fast, private by default, and focused. No accounts to create, no advertising, no tracking — just a quiet practice room you can carry.
Who makes it
Metro Sound is built by Next Horizon Technologies Inc., an independent software studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
