Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Morning Reset ("the app"), published by Next Horizon Technologies Inc. ("we", "us"), handles your information. We built Morning Reset to be private by default.
The short version
- We do not run our own servers that collect your personal data.
- Your meal plan, settings, schedules, and restock data are stored on your device.
- Backup is optional and goes to your own Google Drive — not to us.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.
- We do not sell or share your data.
Information stored on your device
Morning Reset stores its content locally on your device (in an on-device database), including your meal plan and prep, customized meal times, reminder preferences, restock products and dates, and any edits you make. This data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up (see below).
Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose to enable backup, the app uses Google Sign-In to connect to your Google account and saves a copy of its database file to your own Google Drive, inside a dedicated app folder.
- The app requests only the limited Google Drive file scope (
drive.file), which grants access only to the files the app itself creates. It cannot see or access the rest of your Google Drive. - Your backup is stored in your Google Drive, under your control. We do not receive, store, or have access to it.
- You can disconnect at any time and delete the backup from your Google Drive.
Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
Meal, walk, and restock reminders are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent through our servers and contain no data transmitted to us.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or usage analytics through the app. We have no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs.
Children's privacy
Morning Reset is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data security
Because your data lives on your device and in your own cloud account, its security depends largely on the protections of your device and Google account (passcode, biometrics, and account security). We encourage you to keep those protections enabled.
Your choices
- Use the app fully without ever enabling backup.
- Disconnect Google Drive backup at any time in Settings.
- Delete the app to remove all local data from your device.
- Delete any backup files from your Google Drive.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
